A few of my favourite things: little books of note
In the Sound of Music, Julie Andrews serenades her favourite things. Well, I don't sing. But if I did, I'd definitely dedicate a tune to the simple joy of starting a new notebook. Sharjah Art Foundation's retro school stationary reprints
Last summer, the Sharjah Art Foundation started publishing these reprints of old school notebooks featuring a portrait of the late Sheikh Zayed on their colourful covers. Playful and nostalgic, they always get people talking, especially those who still remember using them for homework. Image courtesy of SAF.
Muji Yourself - Stamp it! personalised notebooks
Not local, but personalised: Muji has amazing stationary and right now they have a cute range of stamps to give your notebook a touch of quirk. Image courtesy of Muji.
